Pretty In Ink Brow Academy is located at 845 AITKEN ST, RENO, NV 89502. Our facility consists of 2900 square feet of classroom space, practical training area, post-graduation rental booths, restrooms, reception area, and salon suites. Class size is limited to 5 students per instructor.

Entrance Requirements: 
All students enrolling at Pretty In Ink Brow Academy must be 18 years old at the time of enrollment.  
A valid Driver’s License (or valid ID) must be provided. 

Credit for previous training and education will not be accepted by Pretty In Ink Brow Academy. 

Refund Policy 
Pretty In Ink Brow Academy follows the refund policy requirements outlined in NRS 394.449, ensuring fairness and compliance. Our refund policy is designed to protect both the interests of our students and the academy. The details of our refund policy are as follows: 

If Pretty In Ink Brow Academy substantially fails to furnish the training program agreed upon in the enrollment agreement, we will refund to the student all the money paid. 

If a student cancels their enrollment before the start of the training program or no later than three (3) days after signing the Enrollment Agreement, we will refund all the money paid, minus 10% of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement or $150, whichever is less. 

If a student withdraws or is expelled after the start of the training program but before completing more than 60% of the program, we will refund a pro rata amount of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement, minus 10% of the tuition or $150, whichever is less. 

The pro rata refund is calculated based on the period of the student’s attendance measured from the first day of instruction through the student’s last day of actual attendance. 

If a student withdraws or is expelled after completing more than 60% of the training program, no refund will be issued, and the student will be charged the full cost of the tuition as agreed upon in the enrollment agreement. 

If a refund is owed, Pretty In Ink Brow Academy will pay the refund to the person or entity who paid the tuition within 15 calendar days after the applicable date: 

• Date of cancellation by the student. 

• Date of termination by the institution. 

• Last day of an authorized leave of absence if the student fails to return. 

• Last day of attendance of the student. 

Books, educational supplies, or equipment for individual use are not included in the tuition refund policy. A separate refund will be provided for these items if they were not used by the student and are returned in new condition. Disputes regarding refunds for these items will be resolved by the Administrator on a case-by-case basis. 

The period of a student’s attendance is measured from the first day of instruction as specified in the enrollment agreement through the student’s last day of actual attendance, regardless of absences. 

The period for a training program is the duration set forth in the enrollment agreement. 

Tuition calculations exclude books, educational supplies, or equipment listed separately from tuition and fees. 

Substantially Failed to Furnish: 
    This term includes canceling or changing a training program without offering the student a fair chance to complete the same or another program with equivalent or higher placement opportunities at no additional cost, or without obtaining the student's written agreement to the changes. 

 

Indemnification Disclaimer 
In accordance with NRS 394.553, Pretty In Ink Brow Academy participates in the Account for Student Indemnification. This account may indemnify students who suffer damage due to the discontinuance of the institution's operations or violations of NRS 394.383 to 394.560. Indemnification from a surety bond (NRS 394.480) must be used first. The existence of this account does not guarantee any person the right to receive money. The Administrator manages the account per the Commission's regulations. 

Student Grievance and Appeals Disclaimer 
Pretty In Ink Brow Academy is committed to providing a positive learning experience for all students. If a student has a grievance or wishes to appeal a decision, the following procedures must be followed: 

Informal Resolution: Students are encouraged to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by discussing it with the instructor or staff member involved. 

Formal Grievance: If the issue is not resolved informally, the student may file a formal written grievance with the academy's administration. The grievance should include a description of the issue, any relevant evidence, and the desired resolution. 

Appeals Process: If the student is not satisfied with the resolution of the grievance, they may appeal the decision in writing to the academy's Appeals Committee within 10 days of receiving the decision. The Appeals Committee will review the grievance and make a final decision. 

External Review: If the student is not satisfied with the outcome of the appeals process, they may seek an external review through the Commission on Post-secondary Education (CPE) in Nevada. 

Please note that Pretty In Ink Brow Academy is dedicated to addressing student concerns promptly and fairly. However, the academy reserves the right to make final decisions regarding grievances and appeals in accordance with CPE regulations.

Attendance Policy Disclaimer 
Pretty In Ink Brow Academy maintains a stringent attendance policy due to the condensed nature of our courses. Missing even a single day can significantly impact your education and ability to successfully complete the program. Our policy includes strict regulations regarding leave, absences, missed classes without excuse, makeup work, tardiness, and interruptions for unsatisfactory attendance. 

Students are required to attend all classes and practical sessions as scheduled. Any absence, regardless of reason, must be approved by the instructor or academy administration in advance. 

Missed classes without a valid excuse will not be tolerated. 

Tardiness is not tolerated, as it disrupts the learning environment and may result in missed important information. Students are expected to arrive on time for all classes and practical sessions. 

Interruptions to the learning process due to unsatisfactory attendance may result in immediate dismissal from the program. 

Failure to adhere to the attendance policy may result in academic penalties or dismissal from the program.

Interruption of Program for Unsatisfactory Grades or Progress: 

    If a student's grades or progress are unsatisfactory, the academy may interrupt their program. 

    The conditions for interruption and any probationary period allowed will be determined by the academy based on individual circumstances. 

Conditions of Readmission for Dismissed Students: 

    Students who are dismissed for unsatisfactory progress may be considered for readmission under certain conditions. 

    The conditions for readmission will be determined by the academy and may include additional requirements or a probationary period. 

Pretty In Ink Brow Academy is committed to helping students succeed and will work with individuals to ensure they meet our standards of progress. 

Student Discipline and Dismissal Policy 

Pretty In Ink Brow Academy maintains a strict policy regarding student conduct and discipline to ensure a positive learning environment for all students. Our policy includes the following regulations: 

Conduct Expectations: Students are expected to always conduct themselves in a professional manner. Disruptive behavior, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, or violence, will not be tolerated. 

Disciplinary Actions: The academy reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any student whose conduct is deemed unsatisfactory. Disciplinary actions may include, but are not limited to, verbal or written warnings, probation, suspension, or dismissal from the program. 

Conditions for Dismissal: Students may be dismissed from the academy for repeated or severe violations of our conduct policy. Dismissal may also result from conduct that jeopardizes the safety or well-being of others or the reputation of the academy. 

Appeals Process: Students who are subject to disciplinary action have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the academy's administration within a specified timeframe. 

Reinstatement: Students who have been dismissed for unsatisfactory conduct may be considered for reinstatement under certain conditions. The conditions for reinstatement will be determined by the academy and may include additional requirements or a probationary period. 

Pretty In Ink Brow Academy is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with our conduct policy and adhere to its guidelines. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the program. 

Program Tuition: 

Tuition is billed in two parts; a deposit to hold your seat in the class and secure your supplies and final payment before or on the first day of training.

Tuition: $4500 

Subtotal for program: $5500 

Career/Placement: 

Pretty In Ink Brow Academy offers post-graduation booth rentals for graduates to start building their clientele at a much more affordable rate than you would get elsewhere. We do not guarantee clients, nor do we assist in acquiring clientele. We do not guarantee job placement upon graduation.

PMU 101 - Introduction to Permanent Makeup

Course Description/Objective:
The Introduction to Permanent Makeup course offers a comprehensive introduction to the foundational techniques of permanent makeup. Students will learn the basics of Microblading, Eyeliner, and Lip Blushing, focusing on fundamental skills and safety practices. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on training, students will gain the necessary knowledge to begin their journey in the field of permanent makeup. 

PMU 102 - Brow Techniques & Shaping

Course Description/Objective:

The Brow Techniques & Shaping course focuses on the art of eyebrow shaping and design. Students will learn various techniques, including waxing, threading, and tweezing, to create the perfect brow shape for different face shapes and preferences. The course covers brow mapping, color matching, and filling techniques to enhance the natural brow. Students will also learn about brow trends and styles to stay current in the beauty industry. 

PMU 103 – Winged Eyeliner Techniques & Shaping

Course Description/Objective:

The Winged Eyeliner Techniques & Shaping course focuses on mastering the art of creating winged eyeliner looks. Students will learn various techniques, including gel and liquid eyeliner application, to achieve classic and modern winged eyeliner styles. The course covers eyeliner shape selection based on eye shape, as well as troubleshooting common eyeliner application issues. Students will practice creating different winged eyeliner looks to enhance their skills and creativity.

PMU 104 – Lip Blushing Techniques & Shaping

Course Description/Objective:

The Lip Blushing Techniques & Shaping course focuses on the art of enhancing lips through subtle and natural-looking color. Students will learn the techniques of lip blushing, including color selection, lip shape enhancement, and blending methods. The course covers lip anatomy, symmetry, and different lip shapes to create customized lip enhancements for clients. Students will practice creating various lip blushing effects to develop their skills and artistic vision. 

PMU 105 – Health, Safety & Sterilization

Course Description/Objective:

The Health, Safety & Sterilization course is designed to educate students on the importance of maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment in the field of permanent makeup. Students will learn about infection control, sanitation practices, and sterilization techniques specific to the beauty industry. The course will cover the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper disposal of waste, and the prevention of cross-contamination. Students will also be trained in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials according to industry standards.

PMU 106 – Skin Anatomy & Physiology

The Skin Anatomy & Physiology course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of the skin. Students will learn about the different layers of the skin, their functions, and how they relate to permanent makeup procedures. The course covers topics such as skin types, skin conditions, and skin reactions to cosmetic procedures. Students will also learn about the role of skin health in achieving successful permanent makeup results. 

PMU 107 – Color Theory

Course Description/Objective:

The Color Theory course explores the principles of color and their application in the field of permanent makeup. Students will learn about color wheel relationships, color mixing, and color selection for different skin tones. The course covers topics such as hue, saturation, and value, and how these elements influence color perception. Students will also learn about color correction and how to achieve desired color results in permanent makeup procedures. 

PMU 108 – Washoe County Health Department Rules & Regulations

Course Description/Objective:

The Washoe County Health Department Rules & Regulations course provides students with an overview of the health and safety regulations specific to the beauty industry in Washoe County. Students will learn about the regulations governing permanent makeup facilities, including sanitation, sterilization, and waste disposal practices. The course covers the requirements for obtaining and maintaining a health permit, as well as the responsibilities of practitioners in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for clients.

PMU 109 – Business Licensing & Requirements

Course Description/Objective:

The Business Licensing & Requirements course provides students with an understanding of the licensing and regulatory requirements for operating a permanent makeup business. Students will learn about the process of obtaining a business license, as well as the legal and financial obligations associated with running a business. The course covers topics such as business registration, tax obligations, and insurance requirements specific to the beauty industry. Students will also learn about marketing strategies and business management practices to help them succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors. 

PMU 110 – Marketing & Miscellaneous

Course Description/Objective:

The Marketing & Miscellaneous course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to market their permanent makeup services effectively. Students will learn about branding, advertising, and social media marketing strategies tailored to the beauty industry. The course also covers customer relationship management, pricing strategies, and business networking. Additionally, students will explore miscellaneous topics relevant to the business side of permanent makeup, such as client consultations, record-keeping, and professional ethics. 

PMU 111 – Practical Training  

8 Hours
Course Description/Objective:

The Practical Training course provides students with hands-on experience working on live models under the supervision of experienced instructors. Students will apply the techniques learned in PMU to enhance the appearance of their models. The course emphasizes proper technique, client communication, and sanitation practices. Students will gain valuable real-world experience and build confidence in their abilities as permanent makeup artists.
